After doing Disneyland and Universal Studios in LA plus a night watching ice hockey we hit the road in our hire car. Going through the National Parks and seeing the scenery of Joshua Tree National Park, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Zion National Park, Death Valley, Mammoth Mountains and Yosemite was amazing and with a stop at the glitzy Las Vegas we got to San Francisco. 

Cruising from Budapest to Amsterdam with Avalon was a surprising absolute dream of a holiday. I loved the small towns we visited, learning about Saffron farming, drinking a traditional sized stein, exploring Vienna- highlights around every corner. There was plenty of free time to do as you pleased or be part of the group options. Truly a trip to treasure. 

Sri Lanka seemed to tick all the boxes when we were looking for a family experience - culture, animals and beaches. It did not disappoint! Not only did it tick all the boxes it totally exceeded our expectations. Friendly people, fantastic food, varied scenery, amazing animals, I could go on for hours. We toured with a private tour guide so just the 3 of us plus the guide and it was incredible way to explore. Very personalized and we could vary the plan as it suited us. A wonderful destination for any age - highly recommend.  

2 weeks travelling with 5 other families on an Intrepid family trip was great way to see the country and learn about the destination. It always amazes me how much value a guide adds to a holiday. We made lifelong friends with the other families and Vietnam is fabulous to explore. My favourite was Hoi An. The colourful lanterns and peace of the traffic free old town makes it something special but every stop had something most memorable about it and a good introduction to Asia for children and a great destinations for all. 

Fiji looked after us for our 25th wedding anniversary and it sure delivered. Cruising around the Yasawas on the Blue Lagoon ship was incredible. Talk about a stunning part of the world and cruising adds the bonus of not getting bored being 'stuck' in one place. Incredible snorkeling, stunning beaches and islands, super friendly crew, beautiful food and the bar staff are a dab hand at cocktails. A great couples option. 

I believe a tour of some size or shape can really enhance your travel experiences. The knowledge you gain from the leader is invaluable whether it be half a day tour or 45 nights. Having experienced many and the different options available I can guide you to what would boost your holiday fun.
