Yes, exciting news for us. We’re on the move!

As from Monday 6th January we will have a new home in our own street front retail store, based in the Old Bank Building, 29 Hunter Street, Wellington.

Please note from Monday 23 December through to Monday 6th January, we will be contactable via phone on 04 499 4699 or you can email us on wellington@hot.co.nz during opening hours, as we will be in transit from our old home to our new address!

Don’t be shy - we’d be happy to chat to you and we can always make arrangements to see you in person during this time if necessary!

I've had the absolute best experience booking a trip to Thailand and India with the help of Chloe from House of Travel. She was extremely professional, prompt to reply and always took the time to investigate all the possible options for us. We had a scare with a delay in Visa processing and 1 week out from our trip provided a plan B to get the visa over the line before we went. We were very stressed at this stage and although the Visa did come through, the professionalism from Chloe and connections to a Visa Specialist to be able to offer a plan B was enormous reassurance - can not speak of her highly enough!

We have had the trip of a lifetime which we booked with Fay from HOT. This was 12months in the making and Fay was so helpful working with us on an itinerary that met our specific requests. Having never been this far before we wanted to do as much as possible. Fay Atkins at House of Travel is great to deal with! I wanted to book a flight to Melbourne but didn't want the hassle of booking through the airline's website. Fay made the whole process so smooth and easy. She is an excellent communicator and responded promptly to all my questions. She also gave me very good advice about being at the airport at the recommended three hours in advance. While I thought this was excessive, I'm glad I followed her advice as I was held by a lot of chaos at the airport. Fortunately, I was still left with enough time to have lunch, relax and browse the shops before boarding my flight. I will definitely use House of Travel again for all my domestic and international travel plans. Lastly, we got caught up in a severe weather event in Europe and she checked in on us to see if we were ok and needed any assistance. That was gratefully received!

Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Celebration

Disneyland is gearing up to celebrate its 70th anniversary next year. Kicking off on May 16, 2025, celebrations at the "Happiest Place on Earth" will run through the summer of 2026. The festivities will include special décor, food and beverages, limited-time entertainment, and more.
Italy bans Airbnb self-check-ins

Travellers to Italy will have an extra step now as Airbnb rentals will no longer use lockboxes for self-check-in, following a new law aimed at enhancing security and preventing terrorism. Guests must now coordinate directly with their hosts for check-in.

Visiting Hogwarts and Diagon Alley, eating at the Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks, as well as riding Hagrid's motorbike rollercoaster, made all my childhood (and adult) dreams come true!
