Postcard from Iceland

The Blue Lagoon is one of those "dream" places you see online, and it is just as beautiful in person. Relaxing in those warm waters on the other side of the world had such a magical feeling of accomplishment for me - I'd finally made it to Iceland! I visited Iceland on a cruise ship and the views coming into Akureyri were second to non. The most perfect glass-like water paired with pristine ice-capped mountain were almost forgotten as soon as I saw whales breaching not far from my balcony! The most mind-blowing experience for me was having daylight 24/7! Looking out the window at 2am to what looked like a brightly lit morning was something I had always wanted to experience and it didn't disappoint.
