Lovely to meet you

Customer service has always been drilled into me. After begging my way into a cafe job at 14, I then spent 12 years working in the hospitality industry supervising restaurants and managing specialty cafes.

After spending 3 years in Melbourne, 6 months in South East Asia and a few years in the UK I finally made the switch to the travel industry where I have been able to share my love for travel and customer service ever since.

I made it through the dark years of COVID in the industry which has led me to know to dig that little bit deeper into my clients' travel plans to create that perfect trip, and ensure we really have the best option for you in terms of comfort, reliability, and service. As we just don't know what is round the corner we do!

I've travelled extensively across South East Asia, UK and Europe, spent a lot of time exploring properties in Fiji (and relaxing by the beach) and touched down in the US and Africa. I've got many more places on my bucket list to visit, but if I haven't been, I've got a superb team of people behind me who have and we'll work out the best trip for you!

Queensland

Seeing humpback whales in the wild has always been on my bucket list! I was lucky enough to do this in August 22 in Hervey Bay - one of the best places in the world to see them.
Paris

Living in the UK for 7 years allowed me to see many of the great highlights of Europe. This was taken when my family came over to meet me from NZ and I remember just thinking how awesome it was to have us all there in front of such an iconic building.
Malaysia

This photo is one of my favourite travel pics. We spent two weeks on Tioman island staying at a guesthouse run by a local family who we became really close with and still talk to this day! Meeting local people and immersing myself in local communities is one of my favourite things to do travelling.
Fiji

I love hiking/walking and do a lot around Wellington, we are lucky to have so many great sports and beautiful views. In my 2022 trip to the Yasawa Islands in Fiji, I walked to the highest point in the Yasawa group, it was very tough but rewarding!
Morocco

In 2016 I did a road trip around Morocco with my sister and we spent the night staying in tents in the Sahara desert. Staying in unique accommodation is one of my favourite things about travelling and this was something special.
UK & Europe

What was meant to be 2 years in the UK ended up as 7, I called sunny Brighton on the South coast home for many years. It meant I was able to take frequent trips to London, explore key cities, take road trips to Devon and Cornwall and pop over to Europe for the weekend. I love how lose everything is over there and the range of countries you can visit with just a short flight. Spending 3 weeks travelling around Spain and Portugal was one of my highlights!
South East Asia

The South East always has a special place in my heart. In 2008 I spent months travelling through South East Asia visiting Bali and the Gili Islands (where I met my current partner!), Singapore, Malaysia, Borneo, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. I then travelled from the South to North in Vietnam, then Malaysia and Borneo. I also travelled through the Philippines for a month too, so it's fair to say I know it pretty well!

I've had the absolute best experience booking a trip to Thailand and India with the help of Chloe from House of Travel. She was extremely professional, prompt to reply and always took the time to investigate all the possible options for us. We had a scare with a delay in Visa processing and 1 week out from our trip provided a plan B to get the visa over the line before we went. We were very stressed at this stage and although the Visa did come through, the professionalism from Chloe and connections to a Visa Specialist to be able to offer a plan B was enormous reassurance - can not speak of her highly enough!

Chloe, Fay, Petra at House of Travel Wellington CBD were absolutely amazing with their enthusiasm, knowledge and assistance on our recent trip through Central Australia. The whole journey was fantastic - the planning, the various tours, ensuring the bits we did solo were listened too up to the part where one of our group had a medical emergency in the outback. These guys got us home speedily working overtime in a very helpful manner - it was never too much trouble. We are all so grateful for all the assistance you gave us because it made the fallout from that event so much easier to deal with. I absolutely loved South Africa. Cape Town is a beautiful city, I loved the Bo-Kaap area with the colourful housing and Malay culture influences and taking a side car down the Cape!
