My favourite holiday memories

San Francisco

One of my favourite cities to visit is San Francisco. A definite must do is picking up a push bike in Fisherman’s Warf & cycling across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. A truly spectacular ride with many photo opportunities on the way.
Disneyland California

A dream come true for any parent is taking the kids to Disneyland. I can’t remember who was more excited, them or me. I will never forget the moment we told the kids our next holiday was at Disneyland, the shock, the disbelief, the smiles, the tears & excitement.
Toyko

The most fun I can ever recall having as an adult was a Mario Kart tour through the streets of Tokyo. Almost unbelievable that I was driving a “Go Kart” with a “Tickle Me Elmo Hat” on motorways & city streets. Not something that I could ever do in NZ and it was so exciting.

My wife “Kate” and I always say, “We will always have Mauritius”.

My travel passions

I maybe older but travelling as a solo traveler in my 20’s was one of the best things I had done. I decided to turn this experience into my career and 20 plus years later I am still passionate especially for anyone who is travelling overseas for the first time.

I personally love an active holiday and one where I am seeing lots of amazing things. One of my big passions in life is to spend quality time visiting some of the worlds most iconic cities. In recent years I have visit New York, Washington DC, San Francisco, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and the list goes on. The hum or buzz of a BIG CITY can be intoxicating.

Some of my favourite holidays have been on an escorted holiday. I have travelled extensively with tour companies such as Contiki Holidays, Insight Vacations & Cosmos. Touring maximises your time, cost effective, safe & takes you to places beyond where you thought you were going. The friendships you make along the way make for a memorable holiday experience.

If you are wanting to experience Europe from a different perspective, I can highly recommend a River Cruise. Beautiful scenery from a river view, castles, picture perfect towns & villages, amazing food, the ability to be as active as you want while travelling in complete luxury. A definite bucket list experience.
