What our customers have to say

  • Nigel has consistently gone above and beyond to get our bookings right. Although the travel industry is incredibly busy at the moment, and our itineraries have been anything but straightforward, he has always come up trumps. Nothing seems to stress him out - at least on the outside - and it has been our great pleasure to work with him. A wholehearted recommendation from us. Thank you.

  • We had great service from Princess, she was efficient and responsive, and found flights that met our requirements.

  • Princess at HOT was great to work with. She patiently listened to our requests and worked hard on our behalf to get the flights that we wanted. I would highly recommend this service, we are going forward with confidence and look forward to travelling.

  • Our recently holiday to Rarotonga was organised by Princess and we couldn't have been happier with the service. We found her very accommodating and willing to meet our requirement and answer any questions. She also surprised us with fruit platters on our arrival to Palm Grove to celebrate our anniversary. We have been planning a trip to Europe also with Princess and she has been fantastic with her help in this area.

  • I recently engaged in the assistance and expertise off Nigel Bennett from High Street HOT Chch to help plan and book my holiday to Mexico. He was so informative, helpful , always responded to emails promptly - and most importantly - helped put together an amazing trip to Mexico for myself and 2 Children. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone I know - seeking assistance from a travel agent.

  • We've been working with Sarah for a couple of weeks to plan a big overseas trip, and she has been incredibly effective: listening carefully to our needs; making adjustments where requested; very quick responses; and mindful of our budget requirements. And now it's locked and loaded, and we can start planning the middle bit! Wonderful experience so far. No stress, clear communication, and infinite patience.

  • Sarah was extremely helpful as well as being personable and welcoming. We had a very flexible, multi-location trip to book which left us with too many options as to where to fly in/out of. Sarah spent over an hour with us listening to what we needed, and trying out multiple different flight options, using her expert industry knowledge to help us get a very good price. We will definitely be returning when booking future trips!

  • Princess helped us plan our trip to Hawaii and Maui. She nailed the accommodation brief and we ended up with fantastic accommodation in Waikiki with beach front views right in the heart of the beach. Wailea Resort on Maui was perfect with a range of relaxing options, beach walks, turtles near the shore, and an epic water slide. Princess also helped us with a number of Tours including Pearl Harbour and Snorkelling to Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. Both were fantastic and highly recommend. Our request for a Jeep Wrangler was also a bonus. The whole trip ran smoothly thanks for the incredible planning and organising by Princess. Thanks for an incredible holiday.

  • Sarah Crowe did an amazing job throughout the process of booking flights for my trip with my partner from NZ to Mexico and the UK. We approached her with a quote from a different travel agent, which we thought was very expensive, and she bet it by $2,000! Sarah was extremely responsive to our urgent request over email - she replied on a Sunday evening and we had secured our flights by Monday afternoon. Sarah had good knowledge about the logistics of different airlines and airports. It was also helpful that she gave us options we could choose between. Cannot recommend enough!

  • We had the pleasure of working with Jolene who helped us organise our overseas family trip for December. We have found her very helpful. There was open and clear communications throughout the process. She answered each of the questions we had, and there were many :) We now have peace of mind having our trip and insurance organised. Would highly recommend :) Thanks again Jolene.

  • Torin has been wonderful to deal with. With him, I’ve planned a museum/history trip renting a Tesla and driving across California/Nevada/Arizona, flying into Washington DC, and a train to New York City. Then visiting a friend in London, a friend taking me all across Ireland, and a stop in Singapore on the way home. I had gotten the run around from another travel agent, with long periods waiting for them to reply, or send updates. I was sick of waiting, asking for updates….and then being subsequently forgotten about. House of Travel High Street Lanes came highly recommended, so I gave them a chance. I’m glad I did! Torin was glad to book an initial appointment. I since had two further face to face catch-ups, and all the way through he has stayed in touch by email. I feel Torin listened to my travel plans, and took my interests into account. Some of his hotel knowledge in particular has been fantastic. He has situated me near hidden gems that showed he’d really listened to my ideas and hobbies. One particular example, choosing New York City’s Moxy Hotel near Time Square. It is not only close to many places a NYC visitor would enjoy, but also very near the hotel where inventor Nikola Tesla passed away. It’s a historic spot for nerds like myself :-) Torin knows a lot about aviation history, and I feel he really “gets” both his industry, and what an overseas traveller is looking for. Thank you Torin, you’ve been a great mate helping with my dream holiday :-)

  • Kristen is a gem! She listened to exactly what I needed and provided a perfect solution. Fantastic communication skills - I was kept up to date with everything and she took the time to make sure my holiday went well on my return Everything Kristen organised went to plan without any hiccups. I think she also found fantastic pricing for our trip too. 10/10 I will definitely have Kristen arrange my next trip!

EXCITING INNOVATIONS TO THE WAY WE TRAVEL

With the world reopening and travel is becoming more attractive than ever. Innovations are set in place to make the travelling experience so much better. Imagine not having to talk to anyone, show your passport to anyone, just a streamlined experience. Facial recognition systems, AI integration, robotic logistics, all to create a smooth and streamlined experience. We are also seeing hints of potential supersonic travel being re-introduced since Concorde's failure in the early 2000s. These exciting innovations are a matter of when, rather than if. Changi International Airport is taking these innovations and aiming to implement them in early 2024. Can we see the same for Auckland Airport? Definitely.

QANTAS ALLOWS "NEIGHBOUR FREE" UPGRADE FROM NEW ZEALAND

The Australian airline is now trialing a new feature which allows passengers flying on trans-Tasman flights alongside flights to the US and Singapore to purchase an empty seat next to them. The trial period is undisclosed, however, following an evaluation of the trial, more international routes may see this option become available. The way it works: Passenger's on eligible flights will receive a notification 2 days before departure offering this upgrade to "reserve" the seat next to them. As it's not guaranteed, if the seat is sold after "reserving," the passenger is refunded.
