I was lucky enough to fit in one last trip before COVID hit, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. I took my wonderful Mum along, and together we embarked on a Mekong River cruise, immersing ourselves in the rich history and culture of Cambodia and Vietnam.
Our journey began in Siem Reap, where we explored the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, one of the largest Hindu-Buddhist temples in the world. From there, we travelled down the river, stopping at local villages and visiting the bustling cities of Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh. Cruising along the river proved to be a fantastic way to explore and appreciate the heart of these beautiful countries.
