My first cruise experience and onboard Viking! |
Understated elegance is how I describe the décor. Lots of natural woods & comfy lounge areas. Many little areas to explore and relax in - quite often very private.
I loved the high tea afternoons in the Winter Garden area. Such a beautiful setting relaxing with a cuppa and small bites while taking in the views and listening to the acoustic guitarist.
The explorer's lounge was a favorite of mine for departures. Sitting on the upper deck of the lounge with a wine looking forward out to sea as we sailed off.
Downstairs it has Pap's bar and a stunning fireplace. Definitely try the waffles from here as well!
The indoor spa area is another beautiful relaxing area to check out. And everything in the changing rooms has been thought of - robes, slippers, even a coffee machine and relaxing couches! The snow grotto is a fun thing to try out and then jumping into the spa or sauna to warm back up.
Lots of restaurant/eating options from the relaxed poolside bar with burgers, buffet style in the world café which has great fresh options, the restaurant al le carte style which is nice and relaxed, and specialty restaurants Manfredis(Italian) and The Chefs table.
A fabulous way to travel!
