My first big adventure overseas by myself, it was a massive 26 Day Contiki. This particular one started in New York and finished Los Angeles and explored the southern states. Trip highlights included a Swamp and Ghost Tour in New Orleans, a night time Harbor Cruise in Miami and viewing the Grand Canyon by Helicopter.

This was a very interesting trip with Cyclone Gabrielle causing a change in itinerary on the day of departure. Instead of going to the islands, we set off with no destination actually locked in. Ended up in Hobart for a day and then set off again it the hopes of getting in to Sydney hoping to get 2 days there but the harbor got closed for 1 day so only got 1 day in Sydney. It was an awesome holiday as I really got to explore everything the ship had on offer and also see what happens when things do quite go according to plan.

After Covid, my first major trip away was taking me back the USA, this time around I wasn't doing a tour. The trip started in Chicago and a huge highlight was the hidden food tour I booked on that double as a sightseeing/walking tour and seeing both Wicked and The Lion King Musicals, next stop was New York and after taking in all the big sights in around a day walking about 20km, talking in some more shows and shopping more than what my luggage could hold it was off to Orlando and the main focus was full theme parks doing 3 Days at Universal Studios and 4 Days at Disney.

A small little 5 Night break away just to recharge the batteries after a couple of years. This place was fantastic, driving around the island, catching up with friends and family and doing an incredible snorkel tour. Although a personal highlight was our accommodation the last 2 nights of our stay with our own private plunge pool and beach front access.

This was a work trip I was very lucky to get on, as I don't think it would have been on my list to do otherwise. I started in Darwin and went south finishing in Adelaide. The highlight for me was the dinner under the stars at our stop in Alice Springs. 

I was lucky enough to be able to experience an amazing 22-night Expedition cruise with Hurtigruten and exploring Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica. The crew on these cruises are top notch with almost a 1 Crew per 2 guests. On top of the amazing service, you also get to experience absolutely breathe taking scenery and animals all over the place. Personal highlights for me were the Kayaking when we got to Kayak alongside two Humpback whales and then braving the cold and doing a polar plunge as well.
