Just out of Vegas is Red Rock Canyon. After a hearty "cowboy" breakfast we went on on horseback.

Angkor Wat and the temples around Siem Reap are beautiful.

Until I visited the Normandy Beaches, Gold, Sword, Juno and Omaha were just names from war movies. But it really is quite moving to stand in place where my ancestors also fought. It was an interesting day trip from Paris and I am definitely glad I went. We also visited the museum and the American Cemetery. Once you visit places like this it makes you want to discover and learn more.
