In this instance in Paris, I tried snails. Whilst I wouldn't eat them for breakfast every morning, I am happy to have tried them. Trying the exotic foods in countries helped me to connect with the culture and get a better understanding of the country. My other favourite overseas foods included Svickova in Czech Republic, Gelato in Italy, and Scotch Whiskey in Edinburgh, Scotland.
