It's funny how certain photos that aren't particularly something you want to print or show other people can evoke memories years later.

For me seeing the photo I took from my cabin looking out the balcony reminds me of waking up and hearing the ships quiet rumble as we moved into Ketchikan after a full day at sea. I remember how happy I was in the moment, how proud I was to have saved to get here. Waking up to a different location every morning to that quiet rumble just filled me with joy.

On the flip side of that, the photo of me standing at the line to the artic circle felt a but touristy, however knowing that at that moment I was so far from home and somewhere not everyone gets to experience - it was magic.
