Lovely to meet you

Having a love of travel, I completed a Bachelor of International Tourism Management in 2013.

After a 6 month stint working at Walt Disney World in Florida I returned to NZ and started my career in the travel industry.

After three years I was feeling the itch to travel again so I decided to embark on my second OE and moved to the UK. Living and working there allowed me to travel Europe extensively and my favourite country to date would be Poland. I returned to NZ in 2020.

My favourite holiday memories

  • New Orleans
    New Orleans Alison

When I lived in the US I did a girls trip to New Orleans. Sadly we missed Mardi Gras but coincidentally stumbled on the Jazz Festival which was happening when we were there. New Orleans is known for its atmosphere and it did not disappoint. Musicians were playing in the street, the renowned nightlife lived up to its hype and the architecture was just incredible! It has been a standout travel memory for me and a place I would 100% love to revisit.

  • Uluru

Have you ever visited somewhere which just seems so out of this world? That was Uluru for me. This giant natural phenomenon seemed so out of place in the vast Australian outback. A guided tour around the base by a local Aboriginal guide was a highlight. As was capturing its beauty at both sunset and sunrise.

  • Budapest

One of the most beautiful cities I have visited is Budapest. With two distinct cities either side of the river, the most perfect way to take in the beauty of them both is an evening cruise down the Danube.

My travel passions

History -I love immersing myself in history when I travel because it offers a unique window into the past, allowing me to understand and appreciate the diverse cultures and events that have shaped the places I visit.

Nature -There is no better feeling than the tranquility of being in the great outdoors. Getting out into nature, listening to wildlife and breathing in the fresh air is one of my favourite activities when I travel and a great way to relax.

Adventure- I’ve not quite convinced myself to leap out of a plane just yet, but if I have the opportunity to get the adrenaline pumping then I will be taking it!
