Postcard from Maldives

Maldives is a dream destination for many travelers who want to enjoy the beauty of nature and have some unforgettable adventures. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo trip, Maldives has something for everyone and every budget. 

I recently spent 3 months over Christmas and New Year 2022-23 exploring the islands. Some of my highlights included a many trips to a sandbank, a unique phenomenon where you can walk on a strip of sand surrounded by the turquoise water of the Indian Ocean. You're own private little island where you can enjoy a picnic, jet ski and snorkeling.

Another fun activity involved spending a whole day on a yacht exploring the rich marine life and coral reefs of the Maldives. We got to snorkel with a huge pod of dolphins, manta rays and turtles. We even found Nemo and Dori! 

If you are lucky (like me, of course!), you can witness the bioluminescent plankton, a magical sight where the water glows in the dark due to tiny organisms. Maldives is truly a place where you can relax, have fun, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
