Postcard from Hong Kong

HKTB NZFamTour Vanessa Noronha

My short 4 night stay in Hong Kong recently was extraordinary. This is a great stopover destination for travelers who want to experience a vibrant and diverse city.

One of the best areas to explore is West Kowloon, where you can find modern art, culture, and entertainment venues, such as the M+ museum, Hong Kong Palace Museum, and the West Kowloon Cultural District. You can also enjoy stunning views of the Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline from the waterfront promenade.

Another must-see area is Hong Kong Island, where you can visit iconic attractions such as The Peak, Victoria Park, and Lan Kwai Fong. You can also take a ride on the historic tram or the Peak Tram to get around the island.

A highlight of my time in Hong Kong is taking a cruise on the Aqua Luna, a traditional Chinese junk boat that sails around the harbour. You can admire the city's lights and landmarks from the deck, while enjoying a drink and a snack.

If cruising is not your thing, then maybe a food tour? The Sham Shui Po district food tour was a great sensory and cultural experience. We got to mingle with the locals and try out all types of local treat included Michelin recommended places.
