My favourite place in Asia would be Vietnam. Cambodia is a close second. If you are a foodie like me, you will love the food in Vietnam. So delicious.
I travelled from Hanoi in the North down to Ho Chi Minh in the South. The culture, the beaches, the people, the seafood (food again) all amazing. Ha Long Bay for an overnight stay on the water is a must do. Walking around the Old Quarter in Hanoi is a great place to explore. Travelling the Hai Van Pass from Hue to Hoi An has some of the best coastal scenery and bendy steep roads. Make sure you take photos along the way. This is also a perfect motorcycle route. Lots of people hire bikes to do this trip.
Hoi An was my fave. Had some of the best seafood here. So fresh and very affordable. The beaches were lovely and plenty of things to see and do.
Ho Chi Minh was where I ended my trip. Here I explored the Cu Chi Tunnels which were used in the Vietnam War. You are able to fire some impressive weapons here such as AK-47, M-16, CKC and K54. Such an interesting place and so much history. Ho Chi Minh is home to so many scooters...There are scooters everywhere. It is crazy yet organised. They do it well.
The charm of Vietnam would have me definitely going back to visit again one day. Highly recommend this part of South East Asia.
