Postcard from Sri Lanka

Wow, such an amazing place to visit. Sri Lanka has something for everyone. Beaches, Culture, Wildlife, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Tea Plantations and stunning scenery. My highlight here was seeing approximately 14 blue whales and being able to jump into the water to watch them dive down to the depths below. Unforgettable experience that I will continue to treasure. I travelled throughout Sri Lanka for 2 weeks seeing many incredible sights and covering a lot of area. There are national parks here where you have a chance of seeing elephants, leopards, sloth bears and many other animals and birds in the wild. Getting to the top of Sigiriya Rock, an ancient rock fortress, is another incredible experience Sri Lanka has to offer. They also have one of the most scenic train journeys in the world. Stayed in some very unique accommodation while here such as a tree house in the jungle, a hotel covered in vines with monkeys out your window and a luxury tent based in one of the national parks.
