Santorini is the kind of place that takes your breath away - picture iconic whitewashed buildings with blue-domed roofs, cascading down cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. Whether you're watching the famous sunset from a cliffside taverna or wandering through narrow streets lined with charming boutiques, this island is pure magic.
But here’s a little travel tip—visit outside the peak summer crowds arrive (we were there in April). The streets are quieter, the beaches more peaceful, and you can soak in the beauty of Santorini without the hustle and bustle. Plus, it’s easier to get that perfect sunset-view dinner spot without a long wait.
The black sand beaches of Kamari and Perissa are perfect for relaxing, while a visit to the ancient ruins of Akrotiri offers a glimpse into Santorini’s fascinating past. And, of course, the local food is unforgettable—fresh seafood, creamy fava, and the crispest Assyrtiko wine, best enjoyed with a view.
Just a short ferry ride away, Mykonos offers a different kind of Greek island experience. Known for its chic beach clubs, lively atmosphere, and postcard-perfect windmills, it’s a great spot to soak up the sun, sip on a cocktail, and explore its charming old town.
Whether you’re here for romance, relaxation, or a little bit of adventure, Santorini and Mykonos offer a dreamy escape! It was a bucket list trip I will never forget!
