Postcard from Rarotonga Alisha Lockie

Rarotonga is such a special place. The people are so friendly and chilled out, and the pristine beaches are the perfect backdrop for serious relaxation.

One of my favourite memories is of hiring a stand-up paddle board and cruising around Muri Lagoon on the front while my partner paddled at the back!

I also enjoyed a glass bottom boat ride and snorkelling out in the lagoon, Rarotonga has such incredible marine life, so this is something I would recommend not missing.

Being able to attend my brother-in-law’s wedding was an unforgettable experience; the ceremony was on the beach and then the reception at the hotel – I particularly enjoyed the huge Island style wedding feast, dancers and music.

This is definitely a spot I intend on returning to!
