Postcard from Egypt and Jordan

Egypt and Jordan 2013 - Fabulous highlights included Cairo and the Pyramids, Ras Mohammed National Park, and also to the lost city of Petra in Jordan.

The pyramids are a sight not to be missed - standing before (and inside) such important historical structures in person was a pretty overwhelming experience.

Cruising down the Nile before stopping for a traditional Egyptian meal was also a highlight. The river is huge and imagining all of the events that took place on the banks was pretty fun.

Petra was absolutely incredible, definitely one of my top sights to visit - in the world! It was so much bigger than I imagined and very humbling to visit. I particularly enjoyed that travelling this time of year (February)meant that there were barely any crowds!
