Postcard from Latin America

I was sent to Latin America for work to do a quality control, product development and ad-hoc tour leading.

I arrived in October and left in February and, although the Southern Hemisphere summer, I had to fill my backpack with my winter woolies as well as summer dresses. The destination is so incredibly vast. Latin America has the longest mountain range, the tallest waterfall, the direst desert, the largest waterfall, and the highest navigable lake in the world. South America has over 70 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

You can cruise the Amazon, hike in Patagonia, walk at altitude along the path of the Incans to Machu Picchu, visit the salt flats in Bolivia, admire the colourful houses in the neighborhood of La Boca in Buenos Aires, marvel at the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier and finally, party in Rio for Carnival!
