The Golden Hands Bridge in the Ba Na hills, inland from Da Nang and Hoi An is a brilliant day trip - the bridge is gorgeous even in the mountain mists and unexpected was a theme park with rides, arcade games and even a recreated medieval French village. Something off the beaten track and not to be missed!

Hampton Court Palace is one of my favourite day trips to take when in London. A short train ride away and it's a gorgeous mish mash of Tudor and Georgian architecture. You can feel the history all around you and the experience of walking in the same halls where Henry VIII and Elizabeth I walked fascinates me every time I visit.

The Vaka Cruise in Aitutaki is an awesome cruise trip around the stunning waters of Aitutaki. Visit One Foot Islands, snorkel to your hearts content, walk on sand bars that appear and disappear with the tide. Such a fun day out, great food and great hosts. 

Berthing in Suva you don't expect to be greeted by a full blown band, but walking down the gangway to the sounds of beautiful Fijian music is a brilliant welcome to the Fijian islands.

Cruising is such an awesome way to holiday, I have completed my CLIA Masters qualification to cement my cruise knowledge and love traveling via cruise myself.
