What is the most satisfying aspect of your job?
When our clients tell us that their trip was just as they dreamed it would be. For business customers, it’s when they tell us, “Everything ran like clockwork.”

What surprises clients about working with you?
That we’re actually more competitive than just booking it yourself online. And that we add real value, like tips to help you save more money.

What is your favourite service offered by House of Travel Milford?
Guided tours to Antarctica, and African safaris. (My favourite animal is the pangolin!) I like that we can help with less-touristy places too, such as Costa Rica or Macedonia. Where in the world is your favourite destination? The Austrian Alps, off-track in the South Tyrol. You can ski in winter, walk in winter, and enjoy the beauty of Europe while avoiding the crowds.

What’s your favourite meal, and where?
Street food from a Zanzibar night market.

What two items do you always take on holiday with you?
Ear plug and eye shades, and comfy walking shoes.

What’s your top “travel insider” tip?
Take a soft back-pack, because you can use it as a footrest on the plane, and a small towel, so that you can take advantage of a hot shower at the airport. E-mail yourself copies of all your travel docs on Gmail or Hotmail... just in case.
